About
Maglus Technologies is a Maryland company that was
founded on November 14, 2005. The company’s mission is to “empower high-tech development with powerful tiny
technologies.”
Recognizing the
interplay between engineering advances, manufacturing advances, Moore’s law, and Shannon’s law, it is
our belief that new technologies will be smaller, while containing more
information. More precisely, new
technologies, such as 3G cell phones, and smart sensor networks, will be tiny and
powerful. Thus the name MAGLUS, which
stems from the Latin words MAGnus and aliquantiLUS.
Maglus is also about pioneering leadership along the
following four planes:
- Responsibility,
- Vision,
- Logistics,
and…
- People.
Responsibility is a defining characteristic of
leadership. It is the responsible
leader who is acutely aware of his/her surroundings to act with the agility
necessary to compensate for weaknesses and amplify on strengths.
Vision is the ability to recognize paradigm shifts
early-on, and to harness these shifts into business opportunities.
Logistics is the operating contrast of vision. While visionary outlooks contain many
imaginary and optimistic figures, only logic in the form of a strategic plan,
and a balanced operational budget may lead to success (a little luck helps
too).
People...
…leadership is foremost about people without whom there
would be no one to lead, and more importantly, no one to listen to.
